Product

Some people love to build product. It’s your flow state. You can go into the stratosphere and visualize exactly how someone would use what you are building, and how to implement things in the perfect way. It’s the crossover of art and science, psychology and practicality. It’s a perfect puzzle to complete, and you’re someone who can solve that puzzle.

Great product builders are rare. It takes a combination of skills and personality not commonly found. If I was you, I’d structure my working life around building product. Make it your first priority, and do whatever you need to do so you can keep it at the forefront. Figure out how much time you can realistically work on product each day before it does tip over to draining your energy. Because even something that’s rewarding will eventually become tiring if you do too much of it. Then optimize to do your ideal amount each day.
